Privacy at SkiGuessr
You can play SkiGuessr without allowing analytics or creating an account.
Game records on your device
SkiGuessr uses your browser’s local storage for best scores, Daily results and streaks, Endless records, sound and haptic preferences, and your analytics choice. These records do not automatically transfer to another browser or device. Clearing site data removes them.
Optional Google Analytics
Analytics is off until you choose “Allow analytics.” If you allow it, Google Analytics loads on the public SkiGuessr sites and may use cookies to measure page views and game activity. We measure the chosen game mode and numerical progress, score, and sharing events to learn whether players start, finish, and return to the game. We do not send resort guesses, typed search text, leaderboard nicknames, or custom user IDs.
The Google Analytics measurement ID is G-FQ6TCNH197. Automatic enhanced measurement is disabled. Google may process technical information such as browser and device details and approximate location according to its privacy policy. Google Analytics is an external service, and optional analytics requires a network connection.
You can change your choice below at any time. Choosing “No thanks” stops analytics on subsequent page loads and clears analytics cookies that this site can access. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals prevent analytics from loading even if a previous choice allowed it.
Optional Daily leaderboard
The anonymous Daily leaderboard is available on the secondary Vercel site. When you choose to submit a result, the leaderboard service receives the result needed to validate and display your entry. You can play and keep local records without submitting. The primary Railway site runs the game without this leaderboard API.
Hosting
Like other websites, our hosting providers receive requests for pages and assets and may keep operational request logs. Optional analytics does not control those necessary requests. The game does not require a Google account.
