Recognize a mountain from its snowy photos, choose the exact ski resort, and follow the clues when you miss. SkiGuessr combines ski geography, photo trivia, and a fresh daily challenge.

- Choose Daily, Free Play, Hard Free Play, or Endless.
- Explore the resort’s photo gallery. Use the arrows, swipe on a phone, or use left and right arrow keys while the gallery is focused.
- Search for a resort by name, or use the + button to browse the resort picker. Select a resort and submit your guess.
- Follow the temperature, compass, country, and trail-map clues. The direction and distance feedback is intentionally approximate.
- Guess correctly before your six attempts run out, then continue to the next mountain.
Pick your route
- Daily: the same three mountains for everyone, with a locally recorded daily result and streak.
- Free Play: a fresh five-resort route whenever you play.
- Hard Free Play: five resorts with no country reveal, and a separate best score.
- Endless: keep clearing mountains until one uses up all six guesses.
Daily, Free Play, and Hard Free Play routes avoid repeating an answer country. Sound and haptics are optional and off by default.
Learn to read the landscape
Look for distinctive peaks, tree cover, architecture, and the shape of the ski terrain. Use additional photos before you guess. The resort directory lists the countries, regions, and mountain facts represented in the game. It can help you learn between rounds.

Is SkiGuessr free?
Yes. SkiGuessr is free to play in a browser on your phone or computer. You do not need an account to play.
How does the daily challenge work?
Everyone gets the same three-resort route for the UTC date. Your first completed result is recorded locally; you can replay it for practice. A new challenge arrives at midnight UTC.
What clues do I get?
Wrong resort guesses first call out a shared region, the same country, or a bordering country when applicable; otherwise they give fuzzy temperature feedback. The compass is intentionally approximate. Daily, Free Play, and Endless reveal the country after two misses. Hard Free Play keeps the country hidden. Every mode reveals a trail map after four misses.
How is the score calculated?
A correct resort guess earns 1,000 points on the first attempt, then 850, 700, 550, 400, or 250 on later attempts. Six wrong guesses earn zero for that mountain. Daily has three rounds and a maximum of 3,000 points. Free Play and Hard Free Play each have five rounds and a maximum of 5,000 points.
What is Endless mode?
Endless keeps giving you mountains to identify. Clear each mountain within six guesses to continue. Six wrong guesses on one mountain ends the run.
Are my scores saved?
Your game records are saved in this browser when local storage is available. Clearing browser data or changing devices can remove those records. The optional anonymous Daily leaderboard is available on the secondary Vercel site; if unavailable, the game still works.
Can I share my result without spoiling the answers?
Yes. Use the result screen’s share button to copy or share your score and emoji clues. The shared result does not name the answer resorts.
Does this give current snow conditions or travel advice?
No. The photos and resort facts help you identify mountains; they are not live snow reports, operating schedules, or booking recommendations.
